Valves and Fittings

Emergency Shutoff Valve—FIG 636 Series
Required on underground tank motor fueling systems. The emergency shut-off valve or "impact valve" is installed on the fuel line directly under the dispenser. It is intended to shut off the flow of product in the event of impact and/or fire involving the dispenser. In normal operation, the valve is left open, held in position by a fusible link. A shear section is located in the upper half of the valve and should be installed level with the base of the dispenser. In an emergency, the handle releases and the spring-loaded poppet assembly will swing shut. Unibody construction. UL listed.

Double Tapped Bushings—FIG 184 Series
Used in pipe and tank fitting to reduce or adapt to a connection. Cast iron with NPT threads. The duplex bushing is used to connect 2" pipe to dual 1/2" or 3/8" lines.

Extractor—FIG 560 Series
Installed on the vent line of an underground storage tank. Extractor allows vent lines to be manifolded and also allows removal of float vent valve (Fig. 317) for repair or replacement. Various sizes available. CARB approved.

Float Vent Valve—FIG 317 Series
A main component of the Extractor/Float Vent Valve overfill prevention system. (Fig 560/317). Installed on a UST vent line. When filling a tank, the ball floats on the liquid and rises to the seat area on the pipe nipple. The level of the seat is set at the high level limit of the tank. Once seated, air flow becomes restricted which abruptly reduces the filling rate and warns the operator to stop filling the tank.

Extractor Pipe Cap—FIG 578 Series
Used as a cover for the Extractor/Float Vent Valve overfill system. Installed on the riser pipe at grade level normally inside a manhole.

Ball Valve (full port)—FIG 691
Full port ball valve used for liquid handling with manual open-close in quick quarter-turn handle operation. Threaded (NPT) connections. Valve can be operated in partial open position. Lockable with padlock.

Foot Valves (Single or Double Poppet)—FIG 334 and 335A
Installed at the inlet of a suction line normally at the bottom of the storage tank. Contains either a single or a double poppet and functions like a check valve to hold prime on a pump. Metal-to-metal seat and screened inlet.

Union Check Valve—FIG 331 and 331S
Installed in a pipeline on a standard union fitting. Spring loaded poppet with Viton (R) seal. Fig 331S is provided with a 20 mesh brass screen.

Vapor Recovery

Vapor Recovery Caps and Adaptors—FIG 323 and 324 Series
Used for Stage I Vapor Recovery. Adaptors are installed on the VR riser of UST with coupling connections to fit vapor recovery hose on truck. Various styles available.

Nozzles and Accessories

Automatic Shutoff Nozzle—FIG 602 Series
"Husky"™ brand UL listed nozzle used for dispensing motor fuel with automatic shut-off capability. Supplied with built-in check valve. Available with full Grip All-Weather Nozzle Guard. Teflon available on HS and GS styles.

Pump Hose Swivel—FIG 222 Series
"Husky"™ brand Pump Hose Swivels. Used on curb pump hoses in motor fueling for easier operator handling and reduced hose damage and wear. Aluminum body with two O-rings (Viton (R) and Flourosilicone.)

Inlet Check Valve—FIG 229
Check valve mounted at the inlet of the nozzle. Used to retain residual product in the hose and help prevent spillage.

Break-away Coupling—FIG 609
"Husky"™ brand Break-away Couplings. Used on curb pump hoses to help protect against damage resulting when a motorist drives away from the dispenser with the nozzle remaining in the vehicle fuel port. Tension causes the break-away to disconnect and release the line without spilling product. The detached coupling can be easily re-attached and placed back in service.

Manholes

Lightweight Manhole—FIG 318L /418L
A large diameter (either 38.875" or 44.875") lightweight manhole cover that is as strong as steel and reasonably priced. For years of trouble-free service in gas station drives, or any location.

Round Manholes—FIG 318 Series
Round manholes with non-bolted cover. Used for access ports in driveways where limited access and/or water-tight conditions are not required. These manholes are available in a variety of sizes and cover styles as shown. (Pictured: 318, 318XA, 318TM, 318VR)

Limited Access Manholes—FIG 418 Series
Round manholes with bolted and gasketed cover. Used for access ports in driveways where limited access and/or water-resistant conditions are required. Bolts are standard hex head stainless steel. Gaskets are Buna-N. These manholes are available in a variety of sizes and cover styles as shown. Pictured: 418, 418XA, 418TM, 418XAW)

Square Manholes—FIG 424 and 524 Series
Square box to provide access to equipment etc. on driveway surface. The Fig 424 is a knock-down style for service stations. Fig. 524 is a remediation type manhole used for site clean-up. Bolt down, gasketed cover with 24" deep skirt. Pre-assembled, all welded construction.

Vents

Updraft Vent—FIG 354
"Open" vent used on underground and aboveground tanks for motor fueling. Vent allows tank to "breathe" during filling/dispensing operations. Some sizes are CARB approved.

Pressure/Vacuum Vent—FIG 749 Series
Vent valve used on underground and low volume aboveground tanks for motor fueling. Vent allows tank to "breathe" during filling and dispensing operations. Poppets seal vapors in the tank when pressure is equalized. The Fig 749CRB style is CARB approved for Stage I and II. Available with NPT threads or slip-on style.

Drop Tubes, Diffusers and Fill Connectors

Caps and Adaptors (Top Seal)—FIG 305 /305C Series
Used for fill ports and access to leak detection on fuel storage tanks. Adapter is profile machined for cam and groove fit on industry standard tight seal caps. Cap has center pull ring with toggle cam to fit adaptor groove. Tight sea and lockable. Powder-coat finish.

Caps and Adaptors (Side Seal)—FIG 405/405C and 605 Series
Used for fill ports and access to leak detection on fuel storage tanks. Adapter is profile machined for cam and groove fit on industry standard tight seal caps. Cap has center pull ring with toggle cam to fit adaptor groove. Tight seal and lockable. Powder-coat finish. The Fig 605 is a coaxial adaptor which fits a regular top seal cap and coaxial drop tube.

Drop Tubes—FIG 419 Series
Directs product flow to liquid level when filling a storage tank. Standard industry practice. Prevents free fall and agitation of liquid when filling. Flange fits inside groove of tight fill adaptor and tube extends down to near bottom of tank.

Diffuser—FIG 539 Series
Reduces turbulence of fuel in storage tanks, thus minimizing vapor creation. Reduces fuel contamination by directing flow away from debris on tank bottom. Saves on both fluid vaporization and wear and tear of tanks. Does not restrict flow of liquid into tank. Easily assembles to standard aluminum drop tube with screws or threaded pipe attachment. Variety of models available for both AST and UST applications
Fill Pipe Extension—FIG 571 Series
Installed on the fill line to make up for adjustment in the grade level due to tank settlement. Threads directly on the fill pipe and the fill adaptor. Two different heights are available.

Gauges

Mechanical UST Gauge—Steil Safety Gauge Fig. SGC89
A viable alternative to manually sticking the tank.  Fully mechanical.  Measuring tape readout.  Tape lengths available for 12 ft. diameter tanks or metric equivalent.
